TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® began in the early 1980s with brothers Jon Sorber and Brig Sorber, and a ‘66 Ford pickup truck. Over time, Jon, Brig, their mom, Mary Ellen Sheets, and sister Melanie Bergeron, worked endlessly to grow the family business. They understood that you could build a successful business while taking care of the people you served along with your community. Today, the widely-respected company has more than 380 locations worldwide, 2,800 trucks on the road, 10,000 employees during peak season, and has performed more than 7.5 million moves. We are a company built on Core Values that permeate the entire franchise system.
Over the years we’ve learned a lot about what it takes to make a franchise thrive. We serve both home and business customers daily for their moves, and offer a range of services including packing and unpacking services, storage options, and the sale of moving supplies at franchise locations. While attending the University of Central Florida full-time, Crain worked at 7-Eleven training managers as well as running a franchised used car dealership. Cars were nothing new to Crain, as his dad had been the general manager of a Ford dealership. After graduating in 2004 with a degree in finance, Crain had plans to purchase the dealership, but after receiving guidance and suggestions from his wife, he decided to pursue another route — business ownership. The car business was capital intensive and the return on investment wasn’t optimal.
Crain began looking into franchising, but no concepts truly appealed to him. Crain was introduced to the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise through a friend. When he learned of the family-owned, Christian company and their core values, Crain sent in an application, got approved, and moved to Lakeland, Fla., to open the business in 2007. Since opening, the business has grown substantionally, and he's since expanded to open Kissimmee and Orlando, Fla., locations.

Steve West’s franchisee journey with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK started in March of 2015 when he opened the doors to the Sioux Falls, South Dakota, location, and since then he has enjoyed a great deal of success working within the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® brand.
Now more than five years later, West is a co-franchisee for two additional locations in Portland, Maine, and Clifton, New Jersey.
