Our Unique Care Approach
Homewatch CareGivers offers a unique approach to care to meet the home care needs of every client. We go far beyond focusing on the mechanics of care (e.g., companionship, dressing, bathing assistance, etc.); our approach is designed to partner with clients and their loved ones to deliver collaborative care based on individual needs, wants, and desires. We know each client is unique, therefore each care plan must be customized accordingly.

Ideal Traits in a Franchisee

Starting a business isn’t for everyone, and building an exceptional home care business takes a lot of hard work and passion. We have created a list of traits that we look for in our Franchisees, based on successful owners within our network, and ideal personal qualities we want representing our brand. As much as this process is about you finding out if you are right for this business, we are also committed to finding the right people to join our family.
Some of the qualities of an ideal franchise candidate include:
  • Ability to follow a proven business model
  • A focus on goal-achievement
  • Looking for a people-driven, service opportunity
  • Civic-minded; a community partner
  • Seeking an active role in ownership of a business
  • Experienced leader
  • Passion for our Mission, Vision, Values
  • Desire to create jobs
  • Communicative; likes to network
  • Willingness to collaborate on best practices with both the Support Center and other Franchisees
  • Healthcare experience is NOT required

A Day in the Life of a Senior Care Franchise Owner

A day in the life of a Homewatch CareGivers franchise owner can vary greatly. Franchisees are responsible for managing the strategic direction of the business and for creating a positive, client-centric culture. This is a people business, and the owner is responsible for managing the needs of clients, client families, referral sources, caregivers and office staff.

We have a flexible business model and work with owners on what roles they will play versus skills needed in hiring their office staff. Some owners choose to be the face of the company, and spend much of their time in the community networking and establishing referral partnerships. Other owners are more operations-focused, and choose to hire the marketing and sales position. We have the resources and tools to coach our franchise owners at whatever stage their business is in, and in the beginning to help owners understand where they best fit into the business based on their own strengths.
