With a steady flow of tourism throughout the Sunshine State, franchised businesses are a natural fit.

With hundreds of miles of beaches and year-round great weather, Florida has earned the nickname of the Sunshine State.

The southeastern most state in the U.S. is also one of the most visited, and with plenty of major cities, including Miami, Tampa and Orlando (which are considered to be three of the top cities in the U.S. in which to open a business), and tourist attractions such as Disney World and Sea World, the state is very attractive to potential franchises. Florida is also attractive to entrepreneurs thanks to it being the fourth largest economy in the nation, and the competitiveness of the state's tax climate. It typically ranks as one of the top 5 business tax climates in the U.S. because of their favorable corporate business tax (among the lowest in the United States), strong labour market, flexible enterprise zones, access to capital (Florida ranks fifth in the U.S. for venture capital funding), R&D tax credits, training programs and more. Hiring and retaining employees is easier to do in Florida as well, thanks in part to the 0% personal income tax and top public university system. Of course, the high quality of life and low cost of living in Florida also contributes to it being one of the best climates in order to open and maintain a franchise.
